Adam H. Springel
Adam received his law degree from the University of San Diego and his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to the California and Nevada State Bars and is also licensed as a California real estate broker. Adam has been AV® Preeminent™ rated by Martindale Hubbell since shortly after founding the firm and can be found in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. Adam is also a Certified Litigation Management Professional after completing the inaugural class given by the Litigation Management Institute at Columbia University School of Law.
Leonard T. Fink
Darren M. Ebner
For over twenty years, Darren Ebner, the partner in charge of Springel & Fink’s day-to-day California operations, has successfully defended clients in both single-defendant and multi-party complex lawsuits involving personal injuries, construction defects and product defects., Darren has obtained defense verdicts for his clients in all of the major forums in California—Jury Trial, Bench Trial and Binding Arbitration. Darren prides himself on developing connections with his clients so he can provide them with the best customer service.
Darren received his law degree from Emory University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to the California State Bar and admitted to all federal district courts in California. Darren is also a graduate of the Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law and is a Certified Litigation Management Professional as given by the Litigation Management Institute at Columbia University School of Law.
Kayla P. Le
Kayla is a partner in Springel & Fink’s Irvine office and is admitted to the California State Bar. Her defense practice focuses primarily lawsuits involving construction defects, personal injuries, and products liability. Kayla received her law degree from the University of San Diego and her bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
During law school, Kayla clerked for a large internet-based corporation where she collaborated with outside counsel to defend lawsuits and respond to regulatory civil investigations. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Robert D. Monarch at the Superior Court Orange County.
Nakesha S. Duncan
Nakesha is a partner in Springel & Fink’s Nevada and Arizona offices. Her practice focuses on defending high exposure personal injury and products liability claims as well as construction defect lawsuits. Nakesha received her law degree from the University of Arkansas and her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, magna cum laude, from the University of Memphis. Nakesha is admitted to the Arizona, Nevada and Texas State Bars. Nakesha enjoys outdoor sports, such as ATV riding and rock climbing.

Veronica is Of Counsel in Springel & Fink’s Nevada office and is admitted to the Nevada State Bar. Her defense practice focuses on insurance defense matters that involve bodily injuries or construction defects. Veronica received her law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law. In her free time, Veronica enjoys traveling, reading, and watching documentaries.

Lisette is an associate in Springel & Fink’s California office, focusing on insurance defense with an emphasis on construction defect matters. She is admitted to the California State Bar. She brings a dynamic and adaptable perspective to her work, shaped by previous experience in criminal, immigration, and collections law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Philosophy, from California State University, Fullerton. She later received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School.
Originally from the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago, Lisette finds joy in sharing the culture and rhythm of her heritage, which continues to shape her outlook both personally and professionally.
Sarah Crawley
Sarah is an associate at Springel & Fink’s California office and is admitted to the California State Bar. She has almost 5 years of experience working in many cases in civil litigation. Her current primary focus is construction defect. Sarah received her law degree from Creighton University School of Law in 2022. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, boating, and all activities involving the ocean.
Holly E. Davis
Holly is an associate in Springel & Fink’s Nevada office and has been practicing law for thirteen years. Her defense practice focuses on general insurance defense matters that often involve construction defects or bodily injuries. Holly received her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her undergraduate degree in philosophy from Southern Methodist University along with a minor in English. Holly is admitted to the Colorado State Bar.

Adam is an associate in Springel & Fink’s Irvine Beach office and is admitted to the California State Bar. Adam’s past practice areas have included litigating cases involving medical malpractice, personal injuries, premises liability, and insurance and employment disputes. Adam’s primary focus at Springel & Fink is the defense of complex and high-exposure personal injury lawsuits. Adam obtained his law degree from University of San Diego and his bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego. In his free time, Adam enjoys playing tennis and walking his dog on the beach.
Kevin E. Lawless
Kevin is an associate in Springel & Fink’s Irvine office and is admitted to the California State Bar. His defense practice primarily focuses on complex and high-exposure personal injury claims. Kevin received his law degree in 2011 from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego where he gained valuable experience competing on the school’s mock trial team and his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University.
Nicholas Psyk
Nicholas is an associate in Springel & Fink’s Nevada office. His practice focuses on insurance defense matters including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and products liability. Nicholas received his law degree and bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is licensed to practice law in Nevada. In his free time, Nicholas enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring federal and state parks.
John Setchell
John is an associate attorney in our Irvine office. After years as an in-house attorney for a major insurance company, he uses his experience at Springel & Fink to focus insurance defense with an emphasis on bodily injury cases. He received his law degree from Southwester School of Law in Los Angeles and Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State College at Northridge. He is currently admitted to the California State Bar. When not at work, John enjoys racing sailboats and he used to fly airplanes.
David S. Schopick
David received his law degree from the Hofstra University and his bachelor’s degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Stonybrook. He is an avid music fan and can often be found attending concerts of his favorite bands. He also spends quality time with his family and enjoy movies, bowling, roller-skating and bicycle riding.
Wendy L. Walker
Wendy is admitted to the Nevada State Bar and is an associate in Springel & Fink’s Nevada office. Wendy has extensive experience defending business and commercial disputes, including representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals against construction defect and personal injury claims. Wendy received her law degree, and bachelor’s degree in secondary education from UNLV. Prior to practicing law, Wendy spent 14-years as CFO and COO for a Las Vegas homebuilder. She continues to use her business and finance experience each day as the Firm’s Administrator.
Jeffrey Whipple
Jeff is an experienced litigator who brings both judicial insight and government defense experience to private practice. He graduated from UNLV’s Boyd School of Law in 2022 and was admitted to the Nevada State Bar the same year. During a two-year clerkship in Departments 5 and 17 of Nevada’s Eighth Judicial District Court, he gained extensive frontline exposure to civil, criminal, and probate law. Jeff subsequently served as a Deputy Attorney General of Nevada, defending the Nevada Department of Corrections in complex federal and state matters with a focus on civil rights litigation. Outside the office, Jeff trades the courtroom for the basketball court as a season ticket holding fan of the Las Vegas Aces. He rounds out his free time keeping up with his wife and three sons, reading and writing science fiction, and reminding anyone who will listen that Sisko is the best Star Trek captain.
Raven M. Yim
Raven Yim is an associate in Springel & Fink’s Nevada office. Her practice focuses on insurance defense matters including construction defect, bodily injury, errors and omissions, and products liability. Raven received her law degree from University of Colorado, Boulder. She received her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts from Colorado State University. She is admitted to the Nevada and Arizona State Bars.
